| Tiivistelmä: | Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong and Shandong provinces maintained a high-speed growth during the Eighth five-year Plan period. They will still be the "hot points" of economic growth and continue to maintain their growing momentum during the Ninth five-year plan period. The old coastal industrial areas have the sign of starting. So it is estimated that a new upsurge of economic growth will be set off in these areas at the end of this century. The central China is located along the Yangtze River and Beijing-kowloon railway will become the central area of regional economic growth in China in the future for its economic growth tends to speed up gradually. The western and the central northern areas are in the relatively all-time low stage of economic growth and tend to slow down further at the end of 1990s. |
