| Tiivistelmä: | By the end of 1996, there were 148 foreign financial institutions which were allowed to do business with approval in China. (excluding insurance). 24 open cities were approved. Shanghai and Guangzhou were the only cities where foreign insurance institutions were allowed to be established. In these cities, 8 foreign insurance institutions for doing business and the representative offices of 152 foreign insurance companies were set up with approval. In addition, 18 Sino-foreign joint ventures of retail with a certain right of import and export were formed with approval. Foreign businessmen are allowed to deal in foreign trade business in 15 bonded areas in China. This paper also give introduction to the opening state of China's major service industries, such as tourism, civil aviation legal service, accounting service, communications and trans. |
