| Tiivistelmä: | This paper discusses the establishment of statistics and the system of statistics as a field of study, and their development processes. It thinks that statistics is the quantitative expression of a vast amount of random phenomena and a methodology science exploring the statistical law while theory of knowledge, theory of probability and the correlated disciplines in the applied statistics field are the theoretical basis of system of statistics as a field of study, and statistical observation and indicator methods and data analysis statistical approach are its basic methods. It also considers that developing a "big Chinese statistics" will be the great contributions China will make to the development of statistics as a field of study. |
