| Tiivistelmä: | Up till now, the 15 bonded areas throughout China have developed approximately 29 km2 of land totally, about 1/300000 of the area China's territory. In 1996, the GDP of bonded areas nationwide constituted about a mille of China's GDP, while the total import and total export hold approximately 1.28 percent and 2.25 percent respectively. The present 15 bonded areas in China can be basically divided into two types. One type relies on ports and harbours. Such kind of bonded areas amount to 13 up till now. The other type depends on border ports. Currently, the function of bonded areas is defined as transit trade, bonded storage and export processing. |
