Tiivistelmä:As in other European markets, 'collaboration' has been a popular business topic in the Spanish retail industry. Unlike its uptake in Anglo-Saxon regions, however, acceptance of collaborative practices has been relatively slow in Spain. A few encouraging examples, however, do exist. One involves Condis, a regional supermarket chain in Catalonia, and Henkel Iberica, the subsidiary of the German detergents, cosmetics and chemical company. In September 2001, the companies agreed to a pilot program in which they would collaborate more closely. They chose Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR) to facilitate their efforts. CPFR is a cross-industry initiative designed to improve the supplier/manufacturer/ retailer relationship.
