Tiivistelmä:The importance of sharing knowledge (here as: knw.) across organizational and national boundaries has been established in previous research. Based on study of 164 foreign-owned subsidiaries located in Finland and China, this study aims at identifying the relationship between subsidiary bonus pay based on multinational corporation (MNC)-wide performance and knw. sharing (KS) btw. different units of the MNC. In line with the knw.-based perspective of the firm, the results suggest that incentive pay based on the collective performance of the MNC leads to greater KS.
