| Tiivistelmä: | Preliminary results of a study on changing time-use patterns in the developed world are discussed. The connection between technological development and economic growth is described and explained. Evidences are listed on historical changes in time use. Information sources are summarized. Trends in the structure of paid work, education,medicine,domestic work,out of home leisure and shopping are outlined together with statistical data. The characteristics of the present technological paradigm are summarized. Examples are given of the expected new areas. |
