| Tiivistelmä: | In the second stage of the Polish economic reform the role of the banks will be expanded. In the old system of central planning the banks were simply the bookkeepers of the engineers. Now the bankers will control the firms via credit and bond system. Their two new functions consist in (i) promoting industrial competition and (ii) controlling the capital flows among the independent and self-financing enterprises. The joint stock companies will play an important point in the future. |
