Tiivistelmä:Examples are presented about the financial freedom of small private corporations. Measures of financial performance used by large public corporations are in small companies unreliable. Differences between the financial structures of small and large corporations are analyzed. When owners can transfer money to and from the business according to their personal goals and values, standard financial statements can be misleading. Privately held businesses are described as the extensions of the entrepreneur or the family. Suggestion are presented for small company managers. The importance of studying small companies' financial practices is emphasized.
