Tiivistelmä:Manager's attempts to shape their corporate cultures are evaluated. Two aspects of fairness in employment relationships are discussed: job security and equitable treatment. Mismanagement of corporate cultures is a consequence of focusing on one set of principles to the exclusion of the other. Focusing only on what the law requires or focusing only on what ethics would advocate is equally unrealistic. A set of corporate values is discussed with a view to the theoretical background. Four recommendations are made for merging ethical considerations and legal principles. Managers and courts have an equally important role in shaping corporate cultures.
