Tiivistelmä:Managers of information systems (IS) are more concerned than ever about motivating employees. As the industry matures, the usual incentives - big raises, fast-track promotion - are moderating. According to the results of a recent study the top motivating factor for IS personnel is the work itself. By analyzing a job's motivating potential the managers can enhance jobs , ensuring a high level of motivation. The most important elements of the job core theory are introduced.
