| Tiivistelmä: | Taking Siemens AG as an example, the author explains how environment protection can be handled in a large enterprise. In Siemens environment policy is primarily based upon timely use of available information on developments within the enterprise and their effects upon the environment. Central departments have been established for environment protection and technical safety. These departments are staffed by specialists in all vital areas whose function is to inform all other departments on recent developments and suggest solutions for problems that have arisen. These specialists also represent Siemens in talks with the authorities, politicians and the public. |
