| Tiivistelmä: | The main objectives of management efforts to make organization and working system flexible include change and adjustment capacity. Characteristics of flexibility as general conditions of management: a range of behaviour patterns, norms of adaptation, disintegration of deterministic relations; developing autonomy for operation and control in system's parts etc. Attributes of traditional working systems: external control; vertical division of labor; deterministic connections; specialization; adherence to rules. The most important tasks to be performed in a transition to flexible working system are described. The potential problems to be solved and errors to be avoided by management are treated. |
