| Tiivistelmä: | Risk as an object of sociological inquiry is characterized. Then the engineers' place in our society is examined. Neither a scientist nor a politician, the engineer imposes technical objects without having the legitimacy of them. He seeks after social acceptability. The risks of ruptures of the object become functional. The conclusion proposes that the technical object be negotiated so as to associate technology and democracy. Finally the technological decision making is described and analyzed. |
