| Tiivistelmä: | The author explores the interaction between deregulation of the US domestic airlines and the attempts by the US to promote procompetitive policies in international airline markets. No evidence is found to confirm the statement that domestic deregulation affected the foregoing determinants of market share in international aviation markets. On the other hand, the procompetitive policies seem to help consumers, US flag carriers and foreign flag carriers of countries having signed liberalization treaties with the US. |
