Tiivistelmä: | Successful companies over the long run tend to be ethical companies. A closer examination proves that business ethics is not yet so well developed to yield guarantees for rewards in case of good deeds and punishment in case of evil ones. The establishment of ethical codes, the use of ethical consultants, and the attendance of managers at ethics seminars is also not enough. There is a still newer business literature which addresses attempts to deal with business ethics as an aspect of corporate strategy. Only a method of government regulation which integrates compliance into management's practice making it part of a company's culture can be effective. |
