| Tiivistelmä: | The taxonomy of organizations is reviewed in accordance with Scott. The following criteria are defined: objectives /satisfying demand/, environment /market/ and normative framework /proprietor/. Different types of organizations - public agencies, associations, public enterprises, societies, private enterprises,private households - are discussed. Common economy as the principle of activity is explained. Profit oriented and need-oriented economy is contrasted to private and public economy. Objectives and financing of different forms of organizations are presented, private enterprise and public administration is compared, congruences and differences in management of public agencies and private enterprises are reviewed. |
