Tiivistelmä:The present study examined two potential sources of the classic contrast effect in behavioural measurement. These were: transiently shifting standards and encoding of discrepant stimuli. The between-rate contrast effect was examined from an information processing perspective. However, only the discrepant-behavioural-stimuli phenomenon received support as a source.
