| Tiivistelmä: | It is argued in the article that self-government and management are not opposing concepts. It is realized in the management science that there are more realistic and successful concepts of management than the traditional, voluntarist way of thinking. Corporations and other societal systems are too complex to be controlled by simple management models. However, it does not mean that the solution is to use increasingly complex models with more and more variables. What is needed is to benefit from the capability of social systems for self government. The role of the management in this concept is not so much to lead or manage, but rather to help the evolution of the social system with soft instruments. |
