| Tiivistelmä: | Computer-based systems are now commonly used to manage the maintenance department's resources. But they usually fail to retrieve in real time full and correct information for maintenance staff in response to a system failure. Traditinal computer- or paper-based systems which present and distribute text and drawnings in a linear fashion can no longer be considerated adequate. A hypermedia system permits a user to have access to a wide range of stored information in a structured manner. This article discusses large-scale industrial application of an open hypermedia system to engineering documentation. |
