| Tiivistelmä: | This paper compares and contrasts two groups of SMEs in terms of their background characteristics, export motives, familiarity with and use of variety of information sources/export assistance programs and problems they face in exporting. The results of this study highlight the importance of two issues. First of all, the use of export information and assistance sources is rather low among the SMEs. Secondly, several exogenous factors pose important constraints especially for the high involvement exporters. |
