Tiivistelmä:New aspects of competition in the coming 90s are forecasted. Strategic management together with the company culture can be used to meet the new challenges. Negative and positive effects of company culture are examined. The process of strategy formation is described. Interrelationships of corporate strategy and corporate culture determined. The development of corporate culture is characterized. The role of Human Resource Management /HRM/ in this development is highlighted. Some of the most important methods in HRM are referred to: cultural assessment used in recruiting and selection; development of achievement orientation; training on the job; the methods of promotion and incentive.
