Tiivistelmä: | The authors of this paper show that the "close to the customer" strategy as recommended by Peters and Waterman in their book "In Search of Excellence" is not a solution to all problems but should be treated sensitively. It is proved that the closeness to the customer in itself does not guarantee success because it is dependent on the market conditions. |
