| Tiivistelmä: | Airlines want more flexibility to finance new fleets. Does it follow that banks have to take on higher risks? Between 1988-1992 the airlines need $90 billion external capital. Aerospace banks need new players to put up this sum. According to experts at least half of the money has to come from leasing. Leasing growth is part of the fashionable asset-based finance. An important problem with financing is that government-guaranteed loans almost disappeared and the long-term needs of airlines comes from borrowing. New system is needed to solve the problems. |
