| Tiivistelmä: | The overall importance of specific borrower-lender characteristics to lending officers in Japan and Nigeria were examined. The study aimed to draw attention to the Japanese experience in order to elicit greater action on small business promotion in Nigeria and in other countries in similar circumstances. Commercial banks in Nigeria are too cautious to small business lending because of the fear of incurring losses. |
