| Tiivistelmä: | This paper examines the effects of three alternative social security systems. The three systems differ from each other in that social security payments are not related, partly related, or completely related to individual fertility, respectively. Endogenous fertility is allowed in a two-overlapping-generations model with the young caring for the old. The authors analyse non-steady state equilibria as well as steady state equilibria. The dynamic process of transition from a non-steady state to a steady state is investigated. |
