This may be true but, according to Stephen Powell, an effective internal audit service can, in particular, help reduce overhead, identify ways to improve efficiency, and minimize exposure to possible losses from inadequately safeguarded company assets. All of which can have a significant effect on the bottom line. The head of audit should be able to assess his own requirements in terms of the size and makeup of his team from his initial visits. |
