| Tiivistelmä: | The Treuhandanstalt, the German institue responsible for the privatization of the enterprises of the formerly socialist East Germany is often criticized that the most promising firms of East Germany always acquired by the giants of the Western part of the country. However, the head of the institute argues, that this is not true and presents a lot of cases when companies could succiding in getting a promising firm in competition with the representative giants of the branch. The explanation for the successes of these smaller firms is looked for and the points of view that are taken into consideration by the institute in processes of privatization are analyzed. |
