| Tiivistelmä: | The paper provides an overview of the current system of interregional transfers in the European Union (EU) and estimates the costs of opening of the cohesion and structural funds for new EU members in the Eastern Europe. It is shown that in course of an Eastern enlargement the regional and cohesion policy of the EU has to be reformed. |
