Tiivistelmä:Career plateauing in organizations presents a major challenge to human resources management, but is it a problem, and what kind of problem is it? The management literature is almost unanimous in its portrayal of plateauing in negative terms, but one finds little agreement about its operationalization and meaning. The present study examines the relationships between the different criteria and, by looking at career attitudes as correlates of plateauing, considers the implications for career management in complex organizations.
