| Tiivistelmä: | It is estimated that by the year 2000, GDP will reach 5130.8 billion yuan, the per capita net income of peasants 2780 yuan and the per capita income of urban residents for living expenses 7550 yuan. The price index will stand at 8% or so by estimation. According to forecast, the per capita GDP will possibly reach 4275 yuan, 5 times that of 1980. It means that we can realize the target of quadrupling the 1980 per capita gross national product beforehand. The annual growth rates of investment in fixed assets and total retail sales of consumer goods will be 18% and 17.5% respectively. But in the economic development in China, attention should be paid to such problems as the quality of population, the regional disparity, gap in income and the income of agriculture and peasants. |
