| Tiivistelmä: | In post-socialist (here as: p-soc.) Eastern Berlin, past and present state-level institutions figure importantly in spatial and temporal deixis. P-soc. redevelopment has led to the physical transformation of socialist-era state landmarks and workplaces. Speakers, however, continue to rely on past official (East) spaces to make reference in the present - a 'now' is considered to be 'West-times' by some speakers etc. |
