Tiivistelmä: | British companies are exhorted to adopt a plethora of employee-involving schemes , ranging from staff suggestion schemes to qualify circles, and of financial incentives, such as tax-free profit-related pay or employee share ownership schemes. But have the desired results been obtained? Using as their data base the third Workplace Industrial Relations Survey (WIRS), the authors examine both the independent and joint effects of three forms of employee participation - on employee involvement, contingent pay and forms of representation - on six outcome variables relating to industrial relations and economic performance. |
