| Tiivistelmä: | This article discusses the impact of the Internet on the levels and styles of political participation. The relation between the Internet and political participation was examined by concentrating on three different facets of the Internet: the Internet as a information source, as a communication medium and as a virtual public sphere. Rather than regarding the Internet as a technology, political scientist should focus on the communication and information capabilities of the Internet when evaluating the effect on political participation. |
