| Tiivistelmä: | The article discusses issues concerning the community participation and social capital in the context of post-Soviet Armenia. The study combines several qualitative research methods, like semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions and observations in order to obtain a better understanding about how institutions develop and operate at macro level in transition societies. The findings highlight the importance of cultural factors in the participation. |
