| Tiivistelmä: | Based on a small ethnographic study of serious wildlife tourists, this study focuses on three important aspects of this type of travel: i. the tangible benefits of the tourist experience, ii. the importance of the tour leader in between the product and the tourist, and iii. tourist perceptions of their potential environmental and social impacts. There are found participants' environmental sensibilities, the desire to avoid disturbance, the social benefits of organized tours and how the tour leader is critical to the responsible behaviour of the group and the holidays' success. |
