| Tiivistelmä: | Results of a field study of USA companies, which implemented personal computing recently, are reported. Relationship is established between the support services of information system and its control over the acquisition of personal computers, and the degree of the management concerns with personal computing system problems. The proposition is put forward that the level of concern of management information system with the lack of user knowledge and lack of communication with users is inversely related with the number of years of the existence of company-wide operational plan for personal computing and partly with the existence of user help desks. |
