| Tiivistelmä: | A survey was made in order to get more information on how personal computers and Minitel are used at home for occupational purposes. This type of utilization corresponds to: an idealization of work, an increase of occupational autonomy, and a privatization of the work sphere. The borders between work and leisure, as well as between the public and private spheres, are blurred. The advantages of using personal computers manifest themselves in greater flexibility and in the fun aspects of work. All of these increase personal satisfaction in intellectual and independent occupations. |
