| Tiivistelmä: | A 1986 survey is presented of large, international, United States based manufacturing firms that provides comprehensive data on ownership of subsidiaries in developing countries. It analyzes trends and preferences at the industry level and concludes that there has not been a noticeable increase in the proportion of joint ventures in developing countries. Ownership preferences have been analyzed theoretically from two major perspectives: strategy and internalization. |
