| Tiivistelmä: | Fifteen subsidiaries of industrial groups, currently in difficulty were analysed in an effort to detect the main causes of vulnerability. It is dobtful whether an unfavorable situation in the subsidiaries' sector or a serious management error are the dominant factors of the weakness of a company. The importance of using quality management tools as well as the necessity to correctly managing change at every moment in the life of a company are pointed out. The neglect of such management requirements as the use of information systems and adapted control devices, distribution of risk and seeking of flexibility are the key factors of the difficulty. |
