Private consumption should get an impetus from tax reforms, making economic growth of 2.5% possible this year. By June 1994, inflation slowed to 2.9%. A further improvement should help to keep consumer price inflation down to an annual rate of less than 3%. Budget deficit consolidation was interrupted by an increase to Sch98 billion. |
