| Tiivistelmä: | Girozentrale is the least conservative Austrian bank. It was formed as a clearing house for 130 savings banks 50 years ago. Today it is the county's second biggest private bank, a leading market-maker in local stocks and bonds, and a player on the Euromarket. Its main strength of its enormous liquidity. Although savings banks have slightly stodgy images, GZ is an exception. One source of its innovativeness is the excellent personnel. The deregulation of the Austrian banking means a challenge to AZ but its leaders are confident. |
