Tiivistelmä:Numerous family-owned companies are extremely worried about the question of a successor. Expectations with regard to retirement benefits are also mostly coupled with this question. This makes the problem more demanding. Some ways are suggested to solve such problems with a minimum of stress, namely through improved communication, and a systematic procedure. Some potential sources of conflict are identified. It is shown how open conversation can reduce stress and tension. Six "golden rules" are offered.
