Previously one of Spain's most dynamic food markets in 1993 recession limited volume growth in the savoury snacks market to just 1 %. For the five years to 1993 the market increased by 26% in volume terms. Increasing competition at a time of slowing demand was reponsible for the 3% fall in teh ral value of the market between 1989 and 1993. |
