| Tiivistelmä: | The informal venture capital market has become the increasing focus of scientific research in a growing number of countries. The growing volume of research has increased our knowledge of business angels and their behaviors. This paper provides an overview of international research on informal venture capital covering the existing academic literature over the last 20 years. The objective is therefore to identify fields where future research should be focused on to expand our understanding of business angels and the informal venture capital market. The analysis of the existing academic literature has shown that the following areas have been in the focus of research: studies on the person of the business angel and studies on the features of the investments of the business angels. |
