Tiivistelmä: | This paper aims to contribute to the understanding of perception of issues related to the natural environment compared with commercial issues. Using the instrument of Lewis and Harvey (2001) to measure uncertainty, research was undertaken in the German state of Saxony to explore perception of uncertainty in the food industry. A supply chain perspective was applied. The sample consisted of 103 questionnaires submitted by senior executives of small and medium-sized (SME) companies of agricultural, food processing and retail enterprises. The findings show that green issues cause significantly higher levels of perceived uncertainty in decision-makers than commercial issues (Original in German). |
