Tiivistelmä:There has been a debate in the German literature about the basic purpose of research of business administration. It is argued that on the one hand business is carried out for the sake of entrepreneur. On the other hand, it is advocated that management has to take care for all stakeholders, not only for owner's profits. This paper aims to proof that the scientific notion of business usually implicitly postulates the latter point of view. Ethical considerations are found to inherently influence management decisions. Research exludes alternative options a priori. Evidence is provided by referring to fundamental principles in social behaviour (original in German).
