| Tiivistelmä: | This article focuses on the literature relating to crisis management in tourism identifying and criticizing several models. An external shock can cause crisis if travel industry managers are not prepared to take immediate and decisive action. The terrorist attacks of "9/11" are used as an example of this, and the reactions and "turnaround" strategies of leading UK based tour operators are discussed. |
