Tiivistelmä: | This paper represents political (hereafter as: pol.) competition in Denmark as taking place over two issues, that is, 1. the size of the public sector (here as: p-s.) and 2. immigration. Pol. equilibrium (as: eql.) is modeled using the party unanimity Nash eql. (or PUNE) concept generating eql. on multi-dimensional policy spaces. By fitting the model to Danish data, it is argued that citizen xenophobia may be expected to decrease the size of the Danish p-s. by an amount from 12 to 36 percent of one standard deviation of the probability distribution of citizens' ideal points of the p-s. size. |
