| Tiivistelmä: | This paper analyses policy competition (here as: pol-comp.) for foreign direct investment (FDI) btw. countries of different market structure and different size. It is shown how pol-comp. affects the location decision of the foreign investor and derive welfare implications. In this analysis, the key variables are intra-regional trade costs, differences in market size, and minimum wages. |
